📢 Today’s UNALGORA update is a big one: Circles are here. You can now create and join communities built around shared interests, hobbies, and conversations. Circles can be Public or Private. Public Circles can be viewed openly, while Private Circle posts and member details are limited to approved members. Private join requests can be reviewed by Circle Owners, Admins, and Moderators. Circle posts support the familiar UNALGORA experience: text, photos, links, YouTube previews, Likes, comments, editing, notifications, and post history. Circle feeds—and your Home feed—remain strictly chronological. Posts from Circles you join can appear in Home, and each Circle has its own “Show posts from this Circle in Home” control. Turning it off removes that Circle from Home without making you leave. Circles also include: • Dedicated names, descriptions, rules, icons, and cover images • Owner, Admin, Moderator, and Member roles • Member management and protected ownership transfers • Post and comment moderation • Administrative history • Alphabetical and newest-first Circle browsing • Straightforward Circle search without popularity rankings • Mobile, desktop, light-mode, and dark-mode support Messages received an improvement too: while you’re actively viewing a conversation, new messages are checked approximately every eight seconds. Polling pauses when the conversation is hidden and resumes when you return—without adding heavy real-time infrastructure. The Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, feed explanation, and landing page have also been updated to accurately describe Circles and their Public and Private behavior. And the principle behind UNALGORA remains unchanged: Friends and Circles you deliberately choose. No engagement ranking. No popularity scoring. No sponsored reach. No recommendation algorithm deciding what you should see. Thank you for being part of UNALGORA. If you notice anything unexpected after the update, please let me know. People choose people. Algorithms don’t. 💚
